Grzegorz Pojmański

Grzegorz Pojmański ( born April 16, 1959 in Warsaw) is a Polish astronomer.

He works at the astronomical observatory of the University of Warsaw. In 1997 he developed with Professor Bohdan Paczynski the project All Sky Automated Survey ( ASAS ).

With this monitoring system he was able to discover two comets, namely C2004 R2 ( ASAS ) and C/2006 A1 ( Pojmański ). The latter has been also seen in Northern Europe 2006 with binoculars in early March. The automated telescope at the Las Campanas ASAS is located Observatory in Chile.
