Guadalupe County is a county located in the state of New Mexico in the United States. Here 4,687 people live. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Santa Rosa.
Geography
The county has an area of 7,852 square kilometers; 3 of them are square kilometers (0.04 percent) of water. The county borders in New Mexico in a clockwise direction to the County: San Miguel County, Quay County, De Baca County, Lincoln County and Torrance County.

According to the census of 2000, there were 4,680 people in the county. There were 1,655 households and 1,145 families. The population density was 1 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 54.06 % White, 1.32 % African American, 1.13 % Native American, 0.53 % Asian, 0.04 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 39.06 % from other races groups; 3.85% were descended from two or more races. 81.22 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 1,655 households out of which 33.80 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 49.50 % were married couples living together, 14.30 % had a female householder with no husband. 30.80% were non-families. 27.90% of all households and 11.50% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.05.
