Guangzhou International Finance Center

The Guangzhou International Finance Center ( German International Financial Centre Guangzhou) is a skyscraper in the Chinese city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. It is located at the Zhujiang Avenue West in Tianhe District, the financial section of the city.

The building was under construction from 2006 to 2010, reaching on 31 December 2008 its final height of 438.6 meters.

Use

Inside the 103 - storey tower extend to the 68th floor office space. The floors 69-72 serve as a hotel lobby and can accommodate fitness center and restaurants. Above these levels, fills a Four Seasons Hotel, the skyscraper to the 98th floor from. In the last two public floors, the 99th and 100th floor, the sky lobby is located a visitor viewing platform at 418.5 meters. On the roof there is a helipad. In the four lower floors of the building there is a parking garage.

Planned twin tower

As part of the Guangzhou International Finance Center was initially planned to build a twin tower to the east on the opposite side of the street. For this reason, the existing high-rise building was initially referred to as West Tower ( German west tower ).

In 2010 this plan was rejected and the twin tower by a 530 meter-high skyscraper, the Chow Tai Fook Center replaced. This building, which would assume the rank of the city 's tallest building, is to be completed according to the original plans by the year 2016.
