Guápulo

Guápulo is a district and in October 2004 an urban community and constituency of the Ecuadorian capital Quito.

In the district there is a road on a slope down to the village center. It is characterized by narrow, winding streets. The 17th-century Church of Guápulo with an associated monastery is the most important building dar. Guápulo is also known for its alternative art and culture scene. Annually in the street festival Fiesta de Guápulo in September.
