Guédiawaye

Guédiawaye is a city and in the same area at the same time a department in the region of Dakar in Senegal, the Department hived on 21 February 2002 from the state capital Dakar neighboring Pikine.

Located in the northwest Pikines on the north bank of the Dakar peninsula planned satellite town had appreciated after a census and 2002 258.370 2005 280.353 inhabitants. Guédiawaye is twinned with Birmingham ( Alabama).
