Guéric Kervadec

Guéric Kervadec ( born January 9, 1972 in La Garenne-Colombes/Frankreich ) is a retired French handball player. He is 1.98 m tall and weighs 107 kg.

Guéric Kervadec, the last for the U.S. Créteil ( back number 7) and previously played for the French men's national handball team ( back number 7) aground, was considered one of the best runners in the world circuit.

After moving his family to Belley Kervadec still played in this community before then in 1988 Vénissieux HB got his first professional contract. Here he became French champion in 1992 and 1991 and 1992 Cup Winners' Cup. In 1993 he moved for a season to USAM Nîmes, where he was re- Cup winner, prior to signing on with U.S. Créteil 1994. Again, it was 1997 Cup Winners' Cup. In the same year he moved to SC Magdeburg in the Handball - Bundesliga. With the same townspeople he won in 1999 and 2001, the EHF Cup and became German champion in 2001. During 2002 Guéric Kervadec won with the SC Magdeburg the EHF Champions League. In 2002 he returned to Créteil and left it there end his career. In 2003, he won the League Cup, in 2004 he was again runner-up.

Guéric Kervadec has played a total of 217 caps for the French national team until February 7, 2005. In 1995 he was World Champion with France; 1997 and 2005 he won the World Cup bronze.

2003 Kervadec was inducted into the Hall of Fame of SC Magdeburg. Since then, his jersey is hanging under the roof of the Bördelandhalle.

A serious shoulder injury forced Guéric Kervadec in December 2009 to put a line under his career.
