Guðfríður Lilja Grétarsdóttir

Guðfríður Grétarsdóttir Lilja ( born January 10, 1972) is an Icelandic politician ( Left-Green Movement) and chess player.

Life and Politics

She studied history and philosophy at Harvard University and the University of Cambridge. From 2009 to 2013, it was members of the Icelandic parliament Althingi for the Southwestern constituency. She was chairman of the Green parliamentary group and chairman of the Icelandic delegation to the meeting of Arctic states. In addition, she was a member of the Committees on Environment and of Foreign Affairs.

Chess

For the Icelandic women's national team played in four Chess Olympiads: 2000 and 2002 on top board and in 2004 and 2006 on the third board.
