Guglielmo della Scala

Guglielmo della Scala ( German: Wilhelm, † 1404) was an illegitimate son of Cangrande II della Scala from the family of Scaliger, who ruled in Verona from 1260 to 1387.

He was involved in the assassination of his father in 1359, but lost power to his uncle Cansignorio. 1404 he tried and his sons Brunoro and Antonio II to seize power in Verona against Milan. He was proclaimed on 17 April for the Podesta of Verona, but already sold again on April 28.

From his marriage with Onesta Mortone came five sons: besides the two already mentioned Bartolomeo († March 21, 1453 ), Fregnano († December 4, 1443 in Vienna), Nicodemus and Paul.
