Guichon is a city in Uruguay.

Geography

It is located on the territory of the department of Paysandú in its sector 5 Guichon is located about 20 km west- southwest of Piñera and Beisso on the border of Río Negro Nachbardepartamento.

History

On November 17, 1964 Guichon was granted by the law Nr.13.299 the status is " Ciudad ".

Infrastructure

Guichon is located on the railway line Salto - Paso de los Toros.

Population

For Guichon 2004 5.025 inhabitants were registered in the census year.
