Guido Baccelli

Guido Baccelli ( born June 25, 1830 in Rome, † January 10, 1916 ) was an Italian physician and politician.

Guido Baccelli was one of the most famous doctors in Italy. He taught as a professor at the University La Sapienza in Rome. With several interruptions, he was 1879-1900 Education Minister ( Ministro della Public Education ) of Italy, from 1901 to 1903 Minister of Agriculture. He promoted many scientific and cultural endeavors, such as major archaeological projects in Rome, or led in 1898 the feast of the tree in Italy.
