Guido Pozzo

Guido Pozzo ( born December 26, 1951 in the province of Trieste ) is a Curia, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Guido Pozzo was consecrated on September 24, 1977 for the Diocese of Trieste as a priest. He received his doctorate with Karl Josef Becker. Since May 4, 1987, he was a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith under Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. In addition, the theologian Professor at the Pontifical Lateran University and Assistant to 2009 secretary of the International Theological Commission. To the Secretary of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, Pope Benedict XVI. had assigned him on July 8, 2009 the same day on which restructured the Pope with the motu proprio Ecclesiae unit breathless, the Commission and the CDF.

Pope Francis appointed Curia Archbishop Guido Pozzo as the new consultant to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
