Guillemots (band)

Guillemots (or Guillemots ) is a British indie rock band that was founded in 2004.

History

Fyfe Dangerfield had a few years experience in the music business when he was looking along the current occupation of the Guillemots in London in November 2004. The band's name is derived from the English term for a group of seabirds ( guillemot, Common Guillemot ).

In 2005, the band played as the opening act on Rufus Wainwright's sold-out UK tour and released their first EP I Saw Such Things in My Sleep. Two further EPs followed the album Through the Windowpane in July 2006. Both the album and three singles were able to place in the British charts.

Two tours as a headliner they led in April / May and October / November 2006 by the United Kingdom. The songs will be played in modified form in appearances often. At a festival in October 2006, the musicians were even accompanied by an orchestra on some songs.

Published in 2010 Dangerfield a solo album.
