Guillermo Mordillo

Guillermo Mordillo (* August 4, 1932 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine humorous illustrator.

Already at the age of 18 he illustrated children's books and was responsible for the animated film. In 1955 he went as a commercial artist to Lima and 1960 to New York, where he devoted himself increasingly to animation. In 1963 he moved to Paris, and has been known since 1970 internationally as a humorous draftsman. His cartoons, his posters, calendars, postcards, cartoons and books are very popular in many countries. For his work he has received numerous international awards. Mordillo lived from 1980 for 17 years on Mallorca, today he lives in Monaco. He is working on a movie titled Crazy Iceland.

Very well known are his figures with the characteristic large, round noses. These were used in the 1980s, among others, in the spots for TV lottery, A Place in the Sun '.
