Guilty (Barbra-Streisand-Album)

Guilty is the title of an album by Barbra Streisand.

History

The Bee Gees were in the late 1970s after their success with Saturday Night Fever as the most successful pop band in the world. Barbra Streisand asked Barry Gibb if he could write an album for them. As a result of this request in 1980 was the album Guilty, which by the Bee Gees - specially adapted to the vocal range of the singer - was also composed and produced by their successful recording team. This pop album in the sound of the Bee Gees is perhaps the most uncharacteristic of Barbra Streisand. It is, however, with over 20 million records sold in the most successful album of her career. The title song Guilty sang Streisand with Barry Gibb duet. The recording was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Gesangspopduo 1981. The decoupled Single Woman in Love was also the most successful single in the career of Barbra Streisand and stayed for 3 weeks in first place on the Billboard charts.
