Guilty Chinese Scholar Tree

The Guilty Chinese Scholartree (Chinese罪槐, Pinyin Zuìhuái ) is a pagoda tree ( Styphnolobium japonicum, Eng. Scholar Chinese ( Tree )), which is located in Jingshan Park in Beijing.

The famous tree is a national landmark. Emperor Chongzhen hanged him from the Ming dynasty, after a group of farmers, led by Li Zicheng, successfully stormed the Forbidden City had.

The tree was uprooted during the Cultural Revolution. In its place now stands a replica.
