Guinea Pig (film series)

Guinea Pig (Japaneseギニーピッグ, Gini piggu ) is a series of seven Japanese splatter films with sometimes drastic portrayals of violence. During the first films of the series, according to the U.S. sales Unearthed Films in Japan moved in each of the top ten video sales charts, the movies outside of Japan were known only when the actor Charlie Sheen the second part of the series, Flowers of Flesh and Blood, held for a genuine snuff film and his discovery reported to the FBI. Since then, they have been re-released by the company Unearthed Films. In the late 1980s the movies came back into the media, as they were found in the video collection of Japanese serial killer Tsutomu Miyazaki.

Guinea Pig on DVD

The Guinea Pig series is published under the label Devil Pictures on DVD in Germany. Another DVD release is not available in Germany until now. The Guinea Pig series was also published in the U.S. and France on DVD. In the Netherlands, there were only "Android of Notre Dame" and "Devil Woman Doctor " on DVD and VHS. By the Austrian provider XT Video Entertainment in 2004 a Japanese Torture box with the first two parts and a Making Of and 2008, various other publications, including a regular DVD packaging, two different rigid boxes and a tin-box with the name " Guinea Pig: the Complete Series ", on which the parts 1-6 and making of two 's are included released.

Guinea Pig Limited Collector 's Box of Devil Pictures

The seven parts of the series have been published in this indexed uncut box on the German market. The box is limited to 3000 pieces worldwide and is individually numbered. In addition to the eight DVDs is in the box still a poster of the first part " Devil's Experiment" and a T- shirt that said "Would you be my ... " on the front and " Guinea Pig? " On the back.

Stand in Germany

In Germany " Guinea Pig's Greatest Cuts" are the parts of " Devil's Experiment", " Devil Woman Doctor", and "Android of Notre Dame" seized under § 131 of the Criminal Code because of the glorification of violence. The other parts are indicated on list B due to the indexing of the box.
