The Gulf of Hammamet (Arabic خليج حمامت ) is a broad bay in the north-eastern Tunisia. It is located south of the Cap Bon Peninsula and is named after Hammamet, a popular resort on the northwest coast of the Gulf. The fine sand of the gulf as well as the many hotels along its banks provide continuous influx of tourists. In the south of the Gulf of Gabes connects. Other important cities on the shores of the Gulf of Hammamet are Sousse, Monastir and Nabeul.
