Gulf of Maine

The Gulf of Maine ( engl. Gulf of Maine, German also Mainegolf ) is a 93,000 km ² large marginal sea of ​​the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast of North America. The Gulf is located between Cape Cod east of Nova Scotia, Canada in Massachusetts, USA and Sable Iceland. It includes the entire coastline of the U.S. states of New Hampshire and Maine, as well as the Massachusetts north of Cape Cod and the southern and western coastlines of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia of the Canadian provinces.

In the system of the Gulf of Maine, the Massachusetts Bay and the Bay of Fundy is integrated. In the Gulf of Maine you will find the highest tides of the Earth ( see Bay of Fundy ).
