Gulf of Mannar

The Gulf of Mannar is a bay of the Indian Ocean between India and Sri Lanka. It is part of Lakkadivensee. In the north, the Gulf by the Pamban island and the so-called Adam's Bridge, a chain of small islands between India and Sri Lanka, as well as by the Palk Strait north of this location is limited. East is the Bay of Bengal. In the south of the Gulf enters the open Indian Ocean.
