Gulf St Vincent

The Gulf Saint Vincent, is about 145 km long and 75 km wide incision on the coast of the Australian state of South Australia in the Indian Ocean, and is bounded on the southeast between the Fleurieu Peninsula. In the west it is separated by the peninsula from the Yorke Peninsula Spencer Gulf.

To the east is Adelaide, the state capital of South Australia. Other major cities on the Gulf are Ardrossan, Port Wakefield, Edithburgh and Port Vincent.

The Golf was built in 1802 discovered by the English explorer Matthew Flinders with his ship Investigator, and in honor of Admiral John Jervis, 1st Earl of St Vincent named.

In the Gulf are home to many crustaceans and polychaetes, sea cucumbers and sea urchins. The benthos is made of soft sediment deposits, which are settled in the region of the mouth of the River Port of seagrass plants.
