Gulfstream V

The Gulfstream V Gulfstream Aerospace is a twin-engine business jet. It is the first business jet with a range of over 10,000 km.

Development and Construction

The first flight was on 28 November 1995, the aircraft was delivered to the first customers in 1997. 193 aircraft have been delivered, as a successor to the G500 was presented.

The 15.30 m long passenger cabin is 2.20 m wide and 1.90 m high, usually 13 passengers. In maximum configuration of 19 seats are available. Some governments have the machine as a state aircraft in use.

The Gulfstream V is more than 80 world records were flown. As of 2002, the SP version was offered with more range and greater cabin. The aircraft has a digital Honeywell avionics system with six multifunction displays in the cockpit.

As a C- 37A or VC- 37A aircraft was flying as Personal Transporter for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.

Special aircraft

Under the name Shavit since June 2005 ( three machines) for electronic reconnaissance with the Elta Electronics EL/I-3001 system for the Israeli Air Force flies a GM version. It is referred to as " Special Electronic Mission Aircraft" ( SEMA ).
