Gulose is a monosaccharide having six carbon atoms, which is a hexose having the empirical formula C6H12O6. Gulose belongs to the group of non-naturally occurring aldoses.

As with any sugar (except dihydroxyacetone), there are two enantiomeric forms, to each other as mirror images behave, namely D-( -)- Gulose and L-( )- Gulose.
