Gülsin Onay

Gülsin Onay ( born September 12, 1954 in Istanbul) is a Turkish pianist.

Life

Gülsin Onay was born into a musical family and began playing the piano at age three. Her first teacher was her mother. She gave the first concert at age six in broadcasting in Istanbul. After her fellowship in Turkey she took private lessons, after which they then traveled to training for the Paris Conservatory. With award Onay finished the training at age 16. You won the 1er Prix du Piano. In addition, she received several awards at international competitions.

She has given numerous concerts in many countries worldwide with orchestras world-class and appears at international festivals. In 1987 she was named the state artist and received an honorary doctorate from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul.
