Gumperda

Gumperda is a municipality in the south of the Saale- wood - country circuit in Thuringia and Southern part of the joint management Saale valley. The municipality consists of the villages Gumperda and Röttelmisch.

Gumperda located 5 km west of Kahla in Reinstädter reason at the Thuringian porcelain road and is drained by the Reinstädter Bach.

History

The origin of the church is the 12th century.

The place was, as throughout Thuringia, occupied in April 1945 by U.S. Army and early July, handed over to the Red Army. So it became part of the Soviet Occupation Zone and in 1949 the GDR. So Gumperda made ​​with all associated changes to the German reunification in 1990.
