Gunnar Kvaran

Gunnar Kvaran ( born January 18, 1944 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic cellist and chamber musician.

At the age of 20 years came Gunnar Kvaran 1964 to the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he studied at the Danish cellist Erling Bengtsson Blöndal. Later he studied in Basel and Paris with René Flachot. Gunnar Kvaran in 1979 as professor of cello at the music school in Reykjavik and teaches in this capacity since 1998 at the Art Academy of Iceland.
