Gunnersbury station

Gunnersbury is a railway station in south west London, which is served by both the London Underground and London Overground, which operates the North London Line. Transport for London is the operator for the station is in Travelcard Zone 3 and has two tracks on a central platform. In the year 2011 there were 4.39 million subway passengers the station, added 1.182 million passengers by rail.

The station is located in the district of Gunnersbury, part of the London Borough of Hounslow. North of the station shares the route. The North London Line branches off to the left towards the South Acton station. The District Line of the Underground branches off to the right from the station Turnham Green.

History

The station under the name of Brentford Road was opened on 1 January in 1869 by the London and South Western Railway (L & SWR ). He lay on the newly built branch line, the (now Kensington Olympia) began at the Addison Road. The route went further by Shepherd 's Bush and Hammersmith via a now disused connection curve. There was also a short link to Brent Ford, identified by the North London Railway ( NLR) is frequented.
