Gunwale

The gunwale (also Sielbord ) is the reinforced upper edge of an open wooden boat, such as a rowing boat or a sailing dinghy. It is located on the inner side of the boat to the frames at the height of the top board. In the gunwale oarlock or semicircular incisions ( Rundseln ) may be appropriate, which serve as bearings for the belt.
