Guðný Halldórsdóttir

Guðný Halldórsdóttir ( born January 23, 1954) is an Icelandic film director.

She is the youngest daughter of Halldór Laxness and his wife Auður Sveinsdóttir. She studied at the London Film School. When her first feature film was made in 1989 at the Glacier on a novel of her father, from whom she also filmed The good lady after his death.

Under her direction, the comedy film was The Men's Choir, which was also shown in Germany.
