Guo Jia

Guo Jia (Chinese郭嘉, Pinyin Guo Jia; * 170 in Yangzhai, Yingchuan (today Yuzhou, Henan ); † 207), style name Fengxiao (Chinese奉孝, Pinyin Fengxiao ), was an advisor to the warlord Cao Cao during the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

During his eleven years of service, he has Cao Cao supported by his acumen and foresight. His policies were the cause of Cao's triumphs over his rivals Lü Bu and Yuan Shao. He predicted, for example, four years before Cao Cao's victory over Yuan Shao in the Battle of Guandu, Cao Cao that could win if the out put the 10 advantages he had over his opponent.
