Guo Jingjing

Guo Jingjing (Chinese郭晶晶, Pinyin Guo Jingjing, * 15 October 1981 in Baoding / Hebei ) is a former Chinese Water Diving. She is the most successful water vaulter of all time and is also regarded as the most elegant Chinese Jump. Guo won the springboard diving from 3 m- board and 3-meter synchronized diving 14 gold medals at Olympics and World Championships.

Achievements

  • Fifth of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta from 3- m board.
  • Silver medal at the 1998 World Championships in Perth on 3- m board.
  • Two silver medals at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney (3 -meter synchronized diving board & single ).
  • Double World Champion in 2001 in Fukuoka (3- m board single & synchronized diving ).
  • Defense of both titles at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona (3- m board single & synchronized diving ).
  • Olympic champion in Athens 2004 in the individual jumping from 3- m- board and synchronized diving, also from the 3 -meter board, together with Wu Minxia.
  • In 2005 double World Champion in Montreal (3 -meter synchronized diving board & single with Li Ting ).
  • Olympic champion in Beijing in 2008 in the synchronized diving from the 3- m- board, together with Wu Minxia and in the individual jumping from 3- m board.
  • Again in 2007 double World Champion in Melbourne ( 3 -meter synchronized diving board & single by Wu Minxia ).
  • In 2009, two-time world champion in Rome (3 -meter synchronized diving board & single by Wu Minxia ).
  • 2002 and 2006 a total of three titles at Asian Games.

Career

Guo began at the age of 6 years with the water jump to. In 1992, she was first appointed to the Chinese national team. Meanwhile she has endorsement deals with McDonald's and Coca -Cola, they also remodeled for Chinese fashion labels and cosmetic companies. Due to the McDonald's advertising campaign was initially ruled before the Olympic Summer Games 2008 from the national team. Later she was but resumed.

Private

Early 2011 revealed Guo marriage plans and finally announced her resignation from the water jumping after they initially wanted to end her career in 2008, was at that time but still persuaded by their coaches to continue. 2013 she married the heir billion Kenneth Fok.
