Guo Shuang

Guo Shuang (Chinese郭 爽, Pinyin Guo Shuǎng; born 26 February 1986 in Mongolia) is a Chinese track cyclist and World Champion.

2003 Guo Shuang two-time world champion in the junior sprint and 500m time trial; In 2004, she was able to repeat this success in the sprint. In the following years she won numerous podium finishes at World Cups.

Their first big success in the elite class were two third places in the sprint and keirin at the Track World Championships in 2006 in Bordeaux, and two first-place finishes in the sprint and keirin at the Asian Games 2006 in Doha. In the UCI Track World Championships in 2007 in Palma de Mallorca was Guo Shang double vice world champion in sprint and keirin. In 2009, she managed finally to win the World Cup in the keirin. At the Asian Games in 2010, she won the gold medal in the sprint. In the UCI Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne Guo won the bronze medal in the team sprint, together with Gong Jinjie.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Guo Shuang won the bronze medal in the Keirin. In the competitions on home soil they had two years prepared in the " World Cycling Centre 'of the Union Cycliste Internationale in Aigle. Four years later, at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Guo Gong and won the silver medal in the team sprint, after they had been as winners of the final run due to a faulty reset to the second place.

In the UCI Track World Championships 2013 in Minsk and Guo Gong Jinjie won the silver medal in the team sprint.
