Gurjaani Municipality

Gurdschaanis Munizipaliteti (Georgian გურჯაანის მუნიციპალიტეტი ) is a district ( Munizipaliteti ) to the east of Georgia in the Kakheti region. The administrative center is the city of Gurdschaanis Munizipaliteti Gurjaani. The area is 846 km ². The Munizipaliteti has 73,200 inhabitants. It is of five Georgian Munizipaliteti limited: in the east of Sagarejo, in the southeast of Sighnaghi, in the northwest of Telavi, in the north of Qvareli and to the east of Lagodechi.

To Gurdschaanis Munizipaliteti include some significant sights. Particularly well known is the church Gurdschaanier Qwelazminda. It dates from the 8th or 9th century and is built of hewn stone.
