Gurunsi languages
The Gurunsi languages, also Grusi languages are a language family of the branch of the Gur languages within the family of the Niger - Congo languages . They include in a Northern, Eastern and Western Branch 23 individual languages .
The term Gurunsi was probably used by the 1886 African explorer Gottlob Krause for the first time. From the idea at the Gurunsisprechern it were a single ethnic group, has been abandoned since despite linguistic kinship there are large cultural differences between ethnic groups. In addition Gurunsi is not used by the so- called man himself designation; it has only exclusive in the languages of neighboring ethnic groups function. Because of the linguistic relationships the term is limited to this area meaningful use continues conceded.
