Gusen (river)

The Gusen is a left-side tributary of the Danube.

The Big and the Small Gusen Gusen form from Katsdorf width Bruck river Gusen. The majority of the Gallneukirchner basin is drained by the Gusen. From the Katsdorfer district Lungitz the Gusen flows south to St. Georgen an der Gusen through the narrow Gusental. In Langensteinenstrasse it flows into the Danube.

The Gusen is 17.5 km long, along with the commonly regarded as the upper reaches of the Great Gusen it comes to a length of 39.8 km. The Gusen has water quality class II, just before the confluence with the Danube II to III ( 2007).
