Gustaf Larson

Gustav Erik Larson ( born July 8, 1887 in Vintrosa; † 4 July 1968 Båstad ) was a Swedish engineer and entrepreneur.

Life

Larson was born in 1887 in Vintrosa and attended the Secondary school in Örebro and received his degree in mechanical engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. In his work at the Swedish ball bearing manufacturer SKF, he met the local Sales Manager Assar Gabrielsson, with whom he 1926 automobile manufacturer founded Volvo. The company he stood until 1952 before as Vice President. Private Larson was married from 1918 until his death with Elin Octavia Fröberg, from this marriage came four children: Erik, Anders, Gunnel and Britt.
