Gustav Adolf Semler

Gustav Adolf Semler ( born March 14, 1885 in Celle, † February 24, 1968 in Berlin) was a German actor.

Life

He received his acting training in Hannover at the court actor Max Wegner. From the Deutsche Theater, he was 19 years old his first roles. In 1905 he came to the city of Nürnberg theater, after which he played among others in Eisenach and Darmstadt.

In the season 1913/14, he was engaged at the Mainz Municipal Theatre, where for also directing. Other stage stations during the First World War, and Osnabrück. In 1918 he went to Berlin and joined there the ensemble of the Trianon theater at.

Important roles Semler had Oswald in Ghosts and Prince Karl -Heinrich in Old Heidelberg. 1918 began his career with the silent film, where he not usually make it past smaller tasks. In 1927 he returned to the stage, and in 1929 he was again exclusively theater actor.
