Gustav Sandgren

Gustav Emil Sandgren ( born August 20, 1904 in Västra Stenby, Motala, Östergötland; † August 11, 1983 in Stockholm) was a Swedish writer.

Life

Sandgren was the son of O.J. Sandgren and Karolina Adolfsson. In 1935, he married Titti Lindstedt. With his second wife Ria Wägner he later lived for many years on Lidingö.

After school, he worked for five years as industrial workers, but was then full-time writer. In Germany he was known mainly for his children's books.

Sandgren also wrote under the pen name Gabriel Linde.
