Gustavo Borges

Gustavo França Borges ( born December 2, 1972 in Ribeirão Preto ) is a Brazilian swimmer and multiple Olympic medalist.

For the first time Borges participated in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in part and won the 100m freestyle silver medal. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, he then won another silver medal in the 200m freestyle and a bronze in the 100m freestyle. His second bronze medal won Borges at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney in the Brazilian swim relay 4 × 100 m freestyle. At the closing ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he was wearing the Brazilian flag. Currently Borges lives in São Paulo.

2012 Gustavo Borges was inducted into the Hall of Fame International Swimming Sports.
