Gustavo Marzi

Gustavo Marzi ( born November 25, 1908 in Livorno, † November 14, 1966 in Trieste ) was an Italian foil and saber fencers.

Marzi took for the first time at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 and took part with the saber team the silver medal. At the Olympic Games four years later in Los Angeles, he also took still in the foil and took part in rating individual event gold medal. Both with the saber and the foil team he could get the silver medal at the Games in Los Angeles. At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 he took the foil team gold medal, his second ever. With the saber team he won the silver medal he won in the saber individual event.

With the foil team he won the International Fencing Championships in 1929, 1930, 1931, 1934 and 1935. Likewise then the Fencing World Championships in 1937 and 1938. Additionally, he crowns his career with gold in 1937 in the foil individual and 1938 with the saber team.
