Guy Mardel

Guy Mardel (* June 30, 1944 in Oran as Mardochée Elkoubi ) is a French singer of Algerian descent.

His first 15 years were spent Mardel in Algeria, in 1959, he went to France and worked there as a singer in a jazz band. In 1963 he received a contract with the French label disc ` AZ and released two singles. After that, he was selected by the public- service broadcaster ORTF, France to represent the Euro Vision Song Contest 1965 in Naples. He reached the 3rd place with senem Chanson N'avoue jamais.

He remained true to the music and published until the 1980s singles. He was also active in music production since the 1970s. Mardel now lives in Jerusalem.
