Guy of Lusignan, Count of Angoulême

Guido I of Lusignan (* 1265, † September 24 or November 28, 1308 in Angoulême ) was Lord of Lusignan, Count of La Marche and Angoulême.

He was the son of Hugo XII. of Lusignan and Jeanne de Fougères. After the death of his father in 1270 he succeeded him as Lord of Couhé and Peyrat. His older brother, Hugo XIII. of Lusignan inherited the paternal rule Lusignan and the counties of La Marche and Angoulême. When Hugo XIII. Died childless in 1303, Guido was his successor.

Guido died in 1308 unmarried and childless. His sister Jolanda became his successor as mistress of Lusignan, Couhé and Peyrat and Countess of La Marche. The county of Angoulême was from Guido's sisters Johanna and Isabella sold to the French King Philip IV, who added the royal domain.
