Gwalia, Liverpool

The three-story Gwalia House in the south of Liverpool (United Kingdom ) is a is a listed villa and as a building of outstanding architectural and historical interest in the category II (Grade II) of the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest listed.

History

It was built in 1851 by the South American businessman Joseph Edwards as a private mansion sandstone. To him, it belonged until 1857. Also known as the " Sandfield Tower" building had until 1900 changing private owners. In the 1990s, the Gwalia House was severely damaged by fire and still is a part of the interior of destroyed parts of the roof is open and exposed to the weather.
