Gwibber is a microblogging client for the GNOME desktop environment. The computer program runs under Linux, written in Python and is provided as a free software for free under the GNU General Public License ( GPL). From Ubuntu 10.04 Gwibber is included in the official repositories.


Gwibber allows the use of different micro-blogging providers, social bookmark services and online communities without the need for a browser is required. In this way, for example, status messages from Twitter received, sent, or it can put messages on Facebook.

In previous versions of the software it was also possible to change RSS and Atom feeds to subscribe and status of Pidgin from Gwibber out.
