GY Andromedae

HR 465 (HD 9996, GY Andromedae ) is a variable star in the constellation Andromeda, whose brightness between 6.27 mag and 6.41 may fluctuate. It belongs to the group of CP stars. The name part of " GY " follows the rules for naming variable stars and states that GY Andromedae is the 207te variable star, which was discovered in the constellation Andromeda.

Its most striking characteristic is that the chemical element promethium was found in its spectrum with high probability.
