György Jendrassik

György Jendrassik ( born May 13, 1898 in Budapest, † February 8, 1954 in London) was a Hungarian inventor.

He studied engineering in Hungary and Germany. From 1924 he worked in the development department of the all - Danubius machine factory of diesel engines for locomotives. In 1927 he patented the all- Jendrassik engine, a high-speed four -stroke engines without compression with pre-chamber. He should keep the same torque at any speed and start even at low temperatures immediately. With its engine, the railway and the Danube waterway, maritime furnished in Hungary.

He also built the first practical gas turbine with 100 hp.
