Gypjak (or Kipchak, Russian Кипчак Kipchak ) is a small village, 10 km from the Turkmen capital Ashgabat. The village is the birthplace of the first president of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov, famous. Niyazov built there a mosque and a mausoleum, where he was buried on 24 December 2006, apart from his brothers and parents.

The name derives from the Turkish people of the Kipchaks.
