Gyrinus is a genus of the family of whirligig beetles ( Gyrinidae ). It occurs in Europe with 14 species, seven of which are in Central Europe.

Features

The beetles have a hairless and black colored surface, with or without metallic luster. The elytra have 11 dot stripe, of which occasionally formed inner more or less weak. You are not colored yellow in the margin. The pronotum has before the middle of a cross- furrow as well as some cross- impressions on the disk.
