H. F. Lenfest

HF Lenfest, called " Gerry " (* in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American media entrepreneur and philanthropist.

He grew up in New York and New Jersey, graduated from the Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg (Pennsylvania) and then studied at Washington and Lee University (BA 1953). After his military service in the U.S. Navy Lenfest graduated from the Columbia Law School ( LL.B., 1958).

He first worked for the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, then for Walter Anne 's media company Triangle Publications. In the 1970s, its own cable television company Lenfest Communications began to build and sold it in 1999 to AT & T. From this transaction, was the family office LGL Partners.
