Haale, Germany

Haale is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Haale is located 16 km southwest of Rendsburg on the southern shore of the North Sea-Baltic Canal. To the east runs the main road 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe. To the west of the municipality of the Haaler Au runs.

Policy

All nine seats in the municipal council holds the voter community KWG since the municipal election of 2013.

Economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural.

Personalities

The local poet Timm Kroeger (1844-1918) and his nephew, the imperial church architect Jürgen Kröger and building officer (1856-1928), were born in Haale.
