Course

The hair is the only river that drains the Ammerland Geest for Hunte out. It rises near Rastede district Ammer country and flows through the communities Wiefelstede and Oldenburg, where it flows through marshlands ( drained for about 150 years ). After that, the hair passes through the city of Oldenburg, before flowing there in the Hunte.

Catchment area
